Quit being mediocre and Get Off your A** and Do Something!!!

The key to success in life and especially athletics is learning how to fail. So many people are afraid to push themselves... they stay comfortable, content, and mediocre. Then you have the individuals who aren't afraid to explore and test their limits. These are the people who will demolish all their limitations to become better athletes and people. Anyone who spends enough time at East Coast Conditioning will learn that we clap when you puke and cheer you on as you fail because we know you are working at your optimal potential. If you want to improve, the choice is yours~

Lift Hard, Run Hard, Push yourself, Get Better... It's very Simple!

One of our High school Junior Soccer players takes a 205 Front squat to the crash bars after hitting 185 for a 1RM... if you listen closely you can hear me yell out "Nice Fail!"
She'll hit that lift without a problem in a week or 2!

  1. these are some GREAT posts, especially this last one... and in my humble opinion, people need to take do a reality check when they ask themselves "did i work hard today?"

for instance: aerobics classes. you know, the kick-boxing-dance-boogie-jive-step classes... i often here people (mainly females)tell me how hard they worked during their one hour "boogie down" step class. they tell me "for one hour STRAIGHT the instructor had us going!" one hour...? straight? so you were putting out 100% max effort for 1 hour straight? "well no but..."

try doing 100 pushups as fast as you can. maybe 100 squats... go run a few 400 meter sprints as fast as you can. my point is low output cardio for long periods of time does serve a purpose, BUT you need to mix it up! and i guarantee you in just 5 minutes i can have you twice as exhausted and provide you with 3 times the benefit of your "hard working" class at your globo gym.

keep an open mind. step outside your comfort zone and you will see gains you never before imagined...

keep the post coming!! love this info!!!
